I will not be sending out a newsletter this week, but I look forward to meeting with you at Parent-Teacher Conferences to discuss your child's progress in 2nd grade!

November 2: Diversity Day (see details below) and Report Cards Sent Home (If you would wouldn't mind sending back the envelopes, I will reuse them for our next set of report cards...thank you!)
November 3-6: Scholastic Book Fair
November 3 & 4: Parent-Teacher Conferences
November 6: Math homework 1-21 and Take-Home Task #2 are due
November 13: Cowboy/Cowgirl Day
November 25-27: Thanksgiving Break
- Diversity Day- Please send the Diversity Day paper to school with your child on Monday. We will take time to celebrate the diversity in our classroom by learning about our heritage. Feel free to also include pictures and other special items (even food) related to your child's heritage.
- P.E. C.A.R.E.S. Food Drive - This will begin November 2 and will run throughNovember 20. Suggestions for second graders to donate are fruits and vegetables. However, all food donations will be excepted. This is a competition between all the classes. The class that brings in the highest number of items will win a t-shirt and a bowling trip to Hudsonville Lanes. Thanks for helping to support the community.
Thursday was so much fun! A HUGE thank you to everyone who planned the party and to everyone else who joined us for the fun! The kids had a great time! Enjoy pictures from our afternoon!
