Welcome to our Second Grade Blog!  I am so glad you came to visit!  This is the place to go for all things 2nd Grade!  To make it easier, you can subscribe to our blog so that you will receive an email each time I post something.  To do this, enter your email address in the top right box under the words, "Subscribe to our blog."

As school quickly approaches, I am busily getting our classroom ready for all the wonderful learning that will take place this year!

As you shop the back to school sales, we are always in need of donations! Below is a list of recommended items, as well as items we are always in need of! 

Thank you in advance for your help!

Recommended items: 

1. Box of 24 crayons

2. Box of Kleenex 

3. Small pencil box (5x8)

4. Pencils (one dozen sharpened)

5. One inch clear view hard cover binder (no larger, white)

6. Glue sticks

7. Composition notebook                                                                        

Items for your child's desk (optional): 

1. Markers

2. Scissors

3. Colored pencils

Things we would LOVE for you to donate to the classroom: 

1. Clorox wipes

2. Ziploc baggies (gallon and sandwich size)

3. Plastic spoons

5. Individually wrapped candy

6. Stickers

7. Post it notes

8. Indoor recess games

*There will be a "giving tree" at open house with other needed items!

School Supplies

I hope you are having a great summer!  School will be starting before you know it, so enjoy what’s left of your summer break!  I know I am excited for school to start.  I hope you are as well.  I will be posting lots of very fun things here each week.  This is your place for newsletters, pictures, reminders, and the day to day happenings in our classroom.

On the top right side of our home page is a place where you can subscribe to our blog.  This will give you an email when I update or post something.  All you need to do is enter your email address.

I have spent a lot of time back to school shopping.  I thought I’d include a list of supplies you will need so you can start hitting up the back to school sales too.
