Also, today I have sent home our LAST list of 2nd grade spelling words.  Please continue to practice these words at home.  They will be assessed at the end of May.

We are down to FIVE final days for SRC!!!  Please continue to read with your child each night.  I know we can all get to our SRC goal.   You can look at the number of books your child has read this session by checking out their SRC report.  Remember, we want all second graders to have read 30 books.

THANK YOU to all of the parents that volunteered to chaperone our field trip next Thursday.  We are looking forward to a fun day and I couldn't do it without your help.  I am planning on Danae Galineau, Lindsey Bolhouse, Becky Bush, Angie DeMott, Holly Kachur, Kelsey Moore, Michelle Wood, and Megan Luyk.  Please look for a email coming your way this weekend with further details about our day.  Thanks again for your help!

Finally, we are down to our last TWO boxes of kleenex and we are going through them quickly as allergies are flaring up.  If you are willing to donate another box of kleenex to the classroom, we would greatly appreciate it.  Thank you!

  • On Monday, April 25, 2016, Bauer will be holding our first Autism Awareness Day.  Students in grades 1-5 will have an opportunity to experience our ASD program.  Our ASD staff will be splitting your child’s class into three rotating groups to explore sensory overload, communication difficulties, and what ASD is and how we are all unique.  The ASD team is looking forward to creating awareness for all students and staff.  We are also asking that students wear blue on Monday to support ASD Awareness.  The class with the highest percentage of students wearing blue will win donuts from Mrs. Griffith and Mrs. Harder, our ASD Teachers!  Thank you for your support!
