Thank you to all of the families that collected donations for the Walk-A-Thon fundraiser!  It was a huge success and a lot of fun!

Also, I am looking for a parent volunteer that would be interested in helping with a class project that involves a great deal of copying and cutting.  If you are willing to help, please let me know.  I would greatly appreciate the help!

Spirit Week

Tomorrow is our Walk-A-Thon

Thank you in advance for your support of the 2015 Bauer Walk-A-Thon!  Tomorrow we will be walking the track from 10:50-11:35.  Please make sure your child has comfortable shoes for the Walk-A-Thon.  We will be walking the entire time and it is not uncommon for students to run most of that time too!  

We would love to have all pledge envelopes turned in by TOMORROW!  Thank you!!!

Picture Day is Tomorrow

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23, is Picture Day at Bauer.  If you are planning on ordering pictures, please send your picture packet order form to school with your child tomorrow.  Thanks!

A few other reminders:

Please make sure to sign your child's Friday folder each week.  The communicator is a quick and easy way for us to stay connected.  

Also, your child's scrapbook page is due this MONDAY!   It has been fun looking through the pages that have already been turned it.  This scrapbook becomes one of the most popular books on our bookshelf.  It is a fun way for all of us to learn more about each other.   

When your child is our leader of the week, we will post 3-4 pictures of your child on our leader board in the classroom.  Please feel free to send in your child's pictures the week he/she is our leader OR anytime!  I am happy to store them for you until your child is our leader.  

Due to a peanut allergy, all birthday treats and snacks for the entire class need to be peanut free.  Thank you!

Today your child brought home his/her data notebook.  We will be sending this notebook home every Friday.  In the notebook, you will find a note describing all of the contents to your child's data notebook.  Please take time to look through the notebook with your child and then return it to school each Monday.  The notebook is a way for you to view your child's academics at a glance.  Please do not add or remove anything from the data notebook.  We will make all the necessary changes in class.  Thanks!

Your child's first book order went home today! There are so many great books to choose from! If you would like to order, please place orders by Monday, September 28  . You can easily order online using our classroom code: HM67V.   Thank you! 

Week One Complete!

What an awesome first week of school! This is an incredible group of kids and I look forward to what the school year has to bring. Thank you for sharing them with me! 
Attached you will our weekly newsletter.  This newsletter contains information about the upcoming week and many important dates for the month.  I also wanted to thank all of the volunteers that signed up to help in the classroom and at our holiday parties.  We still need volunteers for the winter party on Thursday, December 17 and a few more helpers for the Valentine's Day party on Friday, February 12.  Please let me know if you are willing to help.

Also, we will continue to have a morning snack.  Please help remind your child to pack a snack each day!
