March 27: Newsletter
Here is our newsletter for the week...
Newsletter
Also, we are now using our LAST box of kleenex. I am hoping that we are almost done with this cold season; however, if you would be willing to send in another box or two of kleenex, we will definitely use them. Thanks!
All of our 2nd graders have been a LEADER OF THE WEEK this year! We will continue to have new leaders of the week; however, this time, the leaders will be nominated by the class. Each week students will be able to nominate one of their classmates to be the next leader. Students will have to explain why that person displayed exceptional classroom leadership throughout the week. Our first nominated leader was Haley and our winner for next week is Samantha. Please continue to check out the blog to find out the new leaders each week!

Book Swap
Book Swap
March 23rd-March 27th
In an effort to encourage reading at Bauer we will be conducting a fun activity called Book Swap. If your child has a book(s) at home that he/she has finished reading, bring the book to school and put in the designated Book Swap area in our classroom. On the Book Swap day, your child may then swap for another gently used book to keep. Please note, however, that when your child brings a book in for the Book Swap, that book becomes available for other students to take home and keep! We ask the following of the book(s) your child may bring for Book Swap: it needs to be a book that the child is okay with giving away, it needs to be gently used, it needs to be an age appropriate book for other students in our class. We hope we can recycle many books through the classroom this week!!!!!!Friday, March 13, 2015

I will not have a newsletter this week due to covering a lot of our curriculum at Parent Teacher Conferences. However, please check out your child's Unit 4 math assessment coming home in his/her Friday folder. I am amazed at how well they did with these tricky concepts.
Don't miss the March Scholastic book order that is in your child's Friday folder. If you are interested in ordering, please submit your order online by Monday, March 23. Our classroom code is HM67V. You can also send me your order form and check made out to Scholastic if that is easier!
One more thing...Friday, March 20 is NEON DAY!
