This week we started our typing class. The students are learning so much! It is so fun to watch their confidence grow as they are learning the correct way to type each key. Today I have sent home a paper that explains the program we have been using here at school. It also suggests way that you can have your child practice at home. I did put a typing link on our blog as well!
If you have not confirmed your Parent Teacher Conference time yet, please do so by Monday. Thank you! I look forward to meeting with you in a couple weeks!!!
You will notice that your child has three pages of math homework this week. Each page is a way for your child to practice solving word problems. However, please check over homework page 4-21 very carefully. These problems are two step word problems and require students to do TWO steps to get the correct answer.

Habit Assembly Tomorrow!
The students just left and I immediately remembered that I didn't remind them to wear their red habit shirts tomorrow for our assembly. If your child can wear their shirt, that would be great!
Thanks for your help!

It is that time of year again when the different illnesses are spreading through the schools. Some symptoms to watch for are: chills/fever, headaches, skin eruption, runny nose, cough, vomiting, diarrhea, and a sore throat. When your child shows signs of illness (especially fever, vomiting, diarrhea) it is important to keep him/her home from school for at least 24 hours with no symptoms present. Please notify the school of the nature of your child's illness. We appreciate all your help with trying to keep everyone healthy!

We did it!
Thank you for all of the donations to our service project! Our goal was to donate 75 items to Kid's Food Basket and we EXCEEDED our goal by 30 items. Way to go!!! Thank you for supporting our project. It was fun to watch the excitement in the classroom as they were able to help other kids in a local community.
